What Day Is Christmas Day in 2018?

11.05.2018

Already dreaming of Christmas 2018? If you are, you’re definitely our kind of Elf! We spend the whole year counting down to Christmas and always love to hear of others doing exactly the same!

If you’ve already got Christmas on your mind, you’re probably asking yourself the usual questions. What days is Christmas 2018? By what date should you ensure you’ve done all your posting? When’s the last day you can organise a letter from Santa Claus?

As always, the team at Elfi is here to help. We’ve got all the info you’ll need the plan and enjoy the Christmas of a lifetime, whatever you have in mind. There may be a few months left before the festive season kicks in, but there’s no time like the present to get yourself well and truly on Santa’s good list!

What Day Is Christmas Day 2018?

This year, Christmas day will fall on a Tuesday, with Christmas Eve therefore being a rather delightful break from the usual gloomy Mondays. What this also means is that the two days running up to Christmas Eve will fall on a weekend, which will most probably turn out to be the most chaotic weekend of the whole year on the High Street. Elfi is all about the excitement and enjoyment of Christmas shopping, but this really isn’t the kind of weekend we’d suggest braving the crowds! If there’s one year you’ll want to get your Christmas shopping done ahead of time, it’s this year!

What's Open and Closed on Christmas Day?

Every year, more and more businesses choose to stay open on Christmas Day. Particularly local pubs, which allow for that glorious old-time tradition of popping out with the family to brave the cold for an enjoyable drink or two before dinner. In any case, you probably won’t be short on options if you do find that there’s something extremely important you’ve forgotten while popping the turkey in the oven!

When’s the Last Postal Day Before Christmas?

Even at Elfi, we can’t provide an accurate answer to the one! The UK postal service is something of a mystery around the Christmas period, which it is understandable given demand. As a general rule of thumb, anything you go and post after about December 15th may or may not arrive before the New Year. As such, anything of importance you plan to post should be sent as far in advance as possible. We’d say no later than December 12th as a rough guess, but please…don’t take our word for it!

How Late Can I Order My Letter from Santa?

Here at Elfi, we’ll always do everything we can to help you out, even at the very last minute. We’ve mastered the logistics of getting messages to and from the North Pole, meaning that even when time is tight, we can arrange a personalised letter or even a video message from the big guy himself. It’s always better to plan ahead, but if that ship has sailed, we’ll do what we can to sort you out.
