A reindeer’s summer holiday

– ‘The white sand and the blue ocean of the Bahamas isn’t your typical Christmas scene’ said Elfi.
– But Santa explained: ‘I think the reindeer need a proper rest; a chance to forget their schedule and put their hooves up for a few days. Has anyone seen Rudolph though...?’

Blizzard in Norway

March has finally come and spring is spreading across Europe. But not here in Norway! White snow is falling silently all around, children are building snowmen and we’re keeping warm with hot chocolates. I must note that traditional toys are very popular here – so many children are holed up at home enjoying all kinds of board games.

Elves change the directions

‘Today’s the 15th day of our trip’ said Elfi. ‘We need to make sure that the reindeer aren’t being overworked. Just look at Rudolph – he seems really tired!’ But Rudolph shook his head. He was more than ready.
Having ticked off Italy, Spain and Greece, it was time to head to some colder countries. Santa took out his list and said ‘It’s so great how many children believe in me.’ ‘We’ve certainly got lots of presents to deliver’ said Elfi.
‘Then we better get a move on’ Santa exclaimed as he hurried his elves to jump on the sleigh.

The first day of our adventure

The first day is almost finished. We heard the wishes of children from Poland, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and beyond. It’s funny how many of them all wish for the same things, no matter where they’re from. Old-fashioned teddy bears are still top of our present list this year – although those electronic Furbies are becoming more popular. They’re fun to play with but you really can’t turn them off when they start singing...
